Approved Contractor

NICEIC Approved ContractorNICEIC’s Approved Contractor Scheme is designed to maintain and publish a register of electrical contractors that have been assessed against a specific set of competency requirements, in particular the national electrical safety standard BS 7671 the IEE Wiring Regulations. 

Registered contractors will work to the UK national standard, BS 7671, and will issue a safety certificate for their electrical work to confirm that the installation has been designed, constructed, inspected and tested in accordance with the standard.

Domestic Installer

NICEIC Domestic InstallerThe Domestic Installer Scheme is the NICEIC approval for contractors undertaking work within the scope of Part P of the Building Regulations.

Customers will gain an immediate benefit by using the services of a Registered Contractor because the certified installation does not require additional checks by local Authority Building Control departments.  Under this scheme Building Control must accept a valid certificate of compliance relating to the work performed as a record of compliance with the building regulations. This should make the process of installation work in dwellings and certification of these installations more efficient for all parties involved.
